OVERVIEW

This itinerary includes some of the top attractions in the Western region of Ghana, including Ankasa Conservation Area, Busua Beach, Fort Metal Cross, Nzulezo Stilt Village, and Cape Three Points. You will get to experience the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of Ghana’s Western region.

Day 1:

8:00 AM – Depart from Accra to Takoradi (about a 4-hour drive)

12:00 PM – Arrive at the Ankasa Conservation Area 12:30 PM – Take a guided tour of the conservation area and see the diverse wildlife and plants, including over 300 species of birds, monkeys, and more.

3:00 PM – Depart from the conservation area and head to Busua Beach

4:00 PM – Check into your accommodation at Busua Beach Resort and relax

6:00 PM – Enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants on the beach

Day 2:

8:00 AM – Have breakfast at the resort and then head to the nearby Fort Metal Cross

9:00 AM – Take a guided tour of the fort and learn about its history as a trading post and its role in the transatlantic slave trade.

11:00 AM – Depart from Fort Metal Cross and head to the Nzulezo Stilt Village

12:00 PM – Take a boat tour of the village, which is built entirely on stilts over a lake, and learn about the unique way of life of the local people.

2:00 PM – Depart from the village and head to Cape Three Points

3:00 PM – Take a walk to the lighthouse at Cape Three Points and enjoy the stunning views of the ocean.

4:00 PM – Depart from Cape Three Points and head back to Accra
